Have you checked that your Pin It buttons are working lately?


When I was pinning entries to the latest Food on Friday, I kept finding Pin It buttons that weren't working properly - they wouldn't find the image or title for the post.  This makes it a lot harder for people to pin your work.

I suggest you go to one of your posts and test this out.  If it isn't working properly you need to change the code you are using for the button.  I have posted about this here.  This is the code I used on Carole's Chatter and it seems to be working fine.

    Hi, Carole! I wanted to share this with you. This is where I get my horizontal share buttons on my blog and he's updated his code with the fix to the Pin It button issue! I just edited my template with the new code, pinned one of my posts, and I can verify it works! :)

    I was using the same 'pin it' button you have above, but then at one point it wouldn't install correctly anymore and it would mess up the entire post. I should try it again quickly to test it out..

    I am so over the pin it buttons. I had them and loved them and then they stopped working so I "fixed" it and then it disappeared so I ended up just chucking the code out the window (so to speak) and gave up. Pinterest is fun but the button was making my site so much slower to use. Thank you so much for sharing this because I honestly thought I was the only one experiencing problems. I am going to try what you suggested when I get home!
